Honoring Jun Tayag: Support for Bahay Pag-Ibig

Florentino “Jun” Cayanan Tayag Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 17, 1939, to Florentino Tayag Sr. And Mercedes Cayanan in Angeles City, Philippines.

Throughout his life, Jun was known for his unconditional love for his family, smart wit, and sense of humor with his trademark eye wink. He lived a life full of love, joy, and compassion and touched the hearts of all who knew him. A very successful entrepreneur with his wife from the 70’s from selling household wares, cars, and real estate until he immigrated to the United States in 1991. His family enjoyed a life of comfort, full of love and discipline.

A celebration of Jun’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home. 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL.

After the service in the United States, Jun will be returning home to be interred alongside his late wife, Goring at La Pieta Memorial Park in Angeles City, Philippines. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made here, in his honor. Proceeds will be used to purchase donation items for Bahay Pag-Ibig Home for Aged.
