Honoring Kristine Louise. A families journey through ALS

Family and friends, on January 23rd, our beloved Kristine Louise Apple finally won her fight against ALS and is now able to walk, dance, sing, laugh, and be free with her sister in Heaven, comforted in the Lord's arms.

She spent 2 years battling a relentless disease with strength, dignity, poise, grace, a wicked sense of humor, and above all, love. And through those years, her husband and soulmate, Rich Apple, along with her phenomenal children, worked day in and day out, 24/7, to provide her with the very best care from the comfort of their home. This included taking on the LARGE financial responsibilities that came with achieving that goal. And while they are now traversing this new reality, living in a world without her in it, the financial responsibilities still add up.

A Wife, Mother, Grandmother. A Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin & Friend to so many, Kris's impact on this world of ours is one that will be felt and remembered for generations. Her children will tell you she's their leader, their inspiration, their comfort, and their fortitude of love. She is my Uncle's Soul Mate. She is their Queen. And from the bottom of my heart, I can tell you that the Apple Family is one of the best there is. If you know them, you know they would give you the shirt off their back, a warm place to feel safe, and a love that we're all lucky to be part of.

I am setting this up for them to hopefully afford them time together as a family to process this unspeakable grief. To help them move forward with the responsibilities they have to keep on top of through an already impossible time. And to help ease the financial weight to plan her Celebration of Life. And if you know my Auntie, or you know our family, you know how much she deserves to be Celebrated in big & beautiful ways. Please share this far and wide so that we can share the love with them, that they so effortlessly have shared with all of us.
