Honoring Lauren Jarvis

Another walk has been organized in honor of our dear loved one Lauren Jarvis as she was tragically taken from us on April 2, 2023, at the hands of another.

Lauren was a beautiful soul who loved spending time with friends whether it was going on a drive and listening to Fleetwood Mac, checking out new breweries, grabbing ice cream or finding a new place to eat (two of her favorite places being El Furniture Warehouse or Fu's Repair Shop). She was a woman filled with so much love, joy to spread and gifts to give (She was a very giving person). She was a sarcastic and funny young woman who was filled with light and continually made me laugh but others as well. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend to many. She had an unconditional love for those around her and would do anything for them, she was the meaning of a true friend.

As violent crime is still very apparent within the City, it is crucial for us to raise awareness and encourage participation from those who wish to show support or have been affected by similar tragedies. It is awful for loved ones to go through this kind of pain with unanswered questions and heartache.

We would like to raise funds for the Victims of Homicide Support Society, they assist people who are going through this tragic event every step of the way.

The walk we have organized will take place on May 25, 2024, meeting time is at 11:30am & the walk will start at 12:00pm, location start/end point is Kinsmen Sports Centre.
