Honoring Leo Varon Rectra's Memory

Dear Friends, Family, & Loved Ones,

Thank you so much for taking the time to honor the memory of my father, Leo Varon Rectra (1945–2024). On December 17, 2024, my father peacefully departed this Earth. After a long and arduous journey with dementia, compounded by complications from a recent stroke this summer, we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering. We are forever grateful to the countless nurses, caregivers, and staff who took care of him and fondly referred to him as "Tay" (Dad in Tagalog).

My dad, Leo, led a remarkable life—a talented amateur singer, a hardworking accountant, a compassionate registered nurse, and, to me, an unconditionally loving father. He taught me that, through our very nature of being imperfect, we can persevere. If you feel moved to do so, I ask that you keep my father and our family in your thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.

We are deeply grateful for your consideration in contributing to my father’s memorial fund. Every donation will go directly toward covering his funeral expenses. Your love, support, and generosity are very much appreciated.
