Honoring Lilibeth Garcia Tagala's Legacy

Donation protected
It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Lilibeth Garcia Tagala, on September 1, 2024. Lilibeth’s life was tragically cut short by a sudden heart attack that led to cardiac arrest at the hospital.

Lilibeth’s legacy is marked by her unwavering dedication and compassionate service. For over 20 years, she worked as an Anesthesia Technologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where her expertise and caring nature made a significant impact on countless lives. Her role was not just a job but a calling, and she was a source of support and calm in the most critical moments.

Before her distinguished career at Johns Hopkins, Lilibeth proudly owned a Filipino store for over 12 years. She was an active and cherished member of the community, sponsoring Filipino basketball games and consistently giving back. Her dedication to community service was a cornerstone of her life and a value she deeply instilled in her daughters.

Above all, Lilibeth was a devoted mother and wife who took immense pride in her family. Her daughter Lilytte Tagala, PharmD, RPh, is a licensed pharmacist, and Janette Tagala is an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Lilibeth’s love extended to her late husband, Pedro H. Tagala, Jr., whose memory she held close to her heart.

We invite all who knew Lilibeth to join us in honoring her life on September 9, 2024, at Gonce Funeral Services, located at 4001 Governor Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn, MD 21225. The viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for your support with the funeral-related expenses through our GoFundMe. Your generous contributions will help us give Lilibeth the dignified and heartfelt farewell she so richly deserves. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference during this difficult time.

Lilibeth’s spirit, warmth, and legacy of service will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers as we navigate this profound loss.

With deep gratitude,
Lilytte and Janette Tagala
