Honoring Lisa's Legacy with Love

It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out for help. Friday, my cousin Danny’s wife lost her courageous battle with breast cancer. Lisa was a beautiful person inside and out. The last few years of her life were dedicated to cherishing every minute of time with her girls, husband, and extended family.

Danny expressed it best when he wrote the following:

“Most people would never know she was sick on the surface, but the reality was she was terminally ill for most of that time. She exhausted every resource and treatment available to be with the girls as long as she could. Even when she could barely get out of bed, she would find a way and show up to every party, school function, family event, and vacation she could attend.

During this entire journey, her mom, Kathy Persons, was the rock by her side the entire time. Her sister, Jessica Smith, helped plan so many wonderful events that brought Lisa and the girls so much joy. Her brother Mike Gagliardi and sister Beth Gagliardi provided a lot of support with Memphis and Corbin for the girls. There are too many people to mention, but thank you to everyone that was a part of Lisa’s life and helped our family during this difficult time.

Lisa, we love you so much. I don’t know what we are going to do without you here, but I promise to make sure your legacy lives on through Payton and Ellie.”

We are setting up this go fund me as way to offer some financial support for the family. The medical bills from the extensive treatments Lisa endured are overwhelming. Our hope is to alleviate some of this burden with an account to be used for medical bills, funeral expenses and lost income to allow them to focus on healing and navigating a life without Lisa.
