Honoring LUCCI: Help Fund His Remembrance

Donation protected
UPDATE and PLEASE SHARE:

Osiyo to all—Our family, beheard.world and a committee of community members are inviting all who loved LUCCI Glenn Furman to a celebration of his life on October 14th, at 3:00 PM, at the Armory for Artists in Somerville. The afternoon will include a healing and honoring of LUCCI’s spirit, remembrances, and will conclude with an open mic hour for anyone who wishes to share a brief thought, wish or poem. Whole Foods is graciously donating food; a trio from Lizard Lounge will kindly play, and there will be an altar at the entrance to the space to place offerings meaningful to you that commemorate LUCCI’s special essence.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of so many who have helped us offset the costs of his passing. Our hope is that we can reach our goal of $12,000, which will continue to meet this challenge and help fund our planned celebration. A very special thanks to any who can donate!

UPDATE:
Osiyo to all who loved LUCCI, Glenn Furman, Handsome, Cuz... I wanted to begin with our family's deep and sincere thank you for your support. The staggering response to this loss and the stories being shared of his life and the many people he touched has been overwhelming. We are all feeling every emotion one could possibly feel all at once. I am sure that he would be proud to witness the absolute flood of PEACE and LOVE that has manifested in this time of tremendous loss. As we all continue to grieve in our own ways, my hope is that we will remember to be kind and caring to one another as he would want us to be.

As we navigate what is necessary to lay him to rest the expenses are many. Without the generosity of so many it would be impossible. The funds donated here will be directly applied to his final expenses and a dedication in his honor. Additionally, we will work with Beheard.world, other organizations close to his heart, and the community to plan a celebration of his life to be held at a later date in the Boston area. More information will be posted as things progress.

Thank you all and may PEACE and LOVE be with you always.

Today a community and family have been broken. A link in our circle has been taken. It seems as though we might all be living in an alternate reality because a world without him is a world that should not be. He was a poet, a joker, a lover, a peacemaker, a family member, and a friend. Known to so many as Lucci, others as Glenn, and to me, he was simply... Cuz. The outpouring of love I have seen for him today from not only his community in Boston but from practically all over has been astounding. I know that peace, love, and unity were at the core of everything he did. I struggle today to find the words to express what I, and what we all are feeling. I know when I needed to express something real, I could turn to him for the beautiful words that only he could put together to make it feel right. As we all process this immense loss, I wanted to share as much of an update as I can. In 2007, Boston became his home and in over a decade and a half his family and community grew as large as his heart would allow. In the coming days, we will be working to put together a remembrance of him to be held in his beloved Boston so that all who loved him can say the word I am failing to type. While we work to make this happen, if you have the means to contribute please do so here. All funds will go directly to his care and services. As more information develops it will be shared publicly. If you are unable to contribute in this way, then I encourage you to share your smile, your peace, and your love. He would not have wanted it any other way.
