Honoring Luther Watson Jr.: Funeral Fund
Donation protected
It saddens me to have to write this today but as most if not all, family and friends are aware, Saturday night after our Watson Family Christmas party that we haven’t held in over five years had concluded, we were hit hard by the news that our father Luther Minor Watson Jr. had passed away after a brief hospital visit that we were hopeful he would be coming home from. At this time we know that with the holidays it is extremely hard to donate, but with us having to go to the funeral home early Christmas Eve morning we are hoping to reach out to family and friends to see if anyone can donate even just a little bit to help with my father’s funeral expenses, it would be extremely helpful as this is the most unexpected outcome we could have received. He was 65 years old and never missed a day at work as a lumberman at Buffington Associates for many years before he worked for Ken, Laurie and Evan Sigfridson at Sigfridson Wood Products in Brooklyn. He loved his job but he loved his wife more.He has been without my mom, his late wife, Robin for 19 years now. They were soulmates, and I am at peace with him being laid to rest with her. He will be buried on the side of her, but in the 19 years she’s been gone we could not afford to get her a stone. Our goal is to lay him to rest with his beloved wife and purchase a stone for both of them to be finally together again. Any little contribution helps we appreciate each and everyone of you reaching out through this hard time. It is not something easily dealt with especially around the holidays. Just know that he loved everyone of you that he ever met.❤️
