Honoring Marcy Adams: Support Her Family
It is with sadness that the family of Marcy Lynne Hancock Adams announces the passing our daughter, wife, mother, and friend on September 08, 2024.
She is deeply loved, and her unexpected passing has left a deep void in our souls.
Marcy was born June 8, 1969, to Marilyn and Lee Hancock. She was an only child and doted on by her family, sharing a special bond to her grandma “Mimi.” She is happily with Mimi now talking about life experiences, the many sleep overs they had and the safety and love she provided.
She enjoyed shopping trips, traveling with her mom, and talking to her daily. She appreciated her dad for providing for her needs and sharing a common bond in watching Utah Jazz games.
Marcy attended Brigham Young University, majoring in Elementary Education. She went on to be a beloved elementary school teacher and coach for over 30 years. She championed all her students, but especially those with unique needs. She received her Master of Education, her technology and coaching degree and her administration degree.
She loved teaching the children in primary and as a youth instructor with her husband Jon as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Being a wife and mother is her top priority. Marcy and Jon are best friends and sweethearts. They have created eternal memories through travel, family Sunday dinners, celebrating milestones, holidays, game nights and supporting their amazing children. She was a great conversationalist, and the two had many throughout their 31 years of marriage.
Marcy loves being a mom to Alexa, Catherine, and Christopher. She is an expert on unconditional love, deep and meaningful individual conversations. She gives great advice, always wanting what is best for her kids. She loved to attend competition dance, football, soccer, and roller derby games always cheering for her kids. She is also a great dog mom, adopting two rescue animals Cash and Mocha.
Marcy was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Mimi. She is survived by her parents Lee and Marilyn Hancock, her husband Jon and children Alexa, Catherine, and Christopher.
We thank you all for your love and support during this time.
