Honoring Maria Santos: Support Her Final Farewell

Hello family and friends! On October 26, 2024, we lost our beloved matriarch, Maria Santos. A spunky lady with a big heart, Maria always looked for ways to help everyone around her, but you would be silly to mistake her kindness for weakness! Her personality left a lasting impression on everyone.

Maria found joy in caring for her plants, tending to her many stuffed animals, and helping elderly people do tasks they could no longer do themselves—well into her own elderly years. Maria loved interacting with people and would often be found chatting with people around the neighborhood. Once dementia set in, she was unfortunately unable to take part in the things she enjoyed, like her daily walks around the neighborhood to chat with her friends. It was a slow decline as we gradually saw the rambunctious woman we once knew become a shell of her former self. Nonetheless, Maria passed peacefully with family at 92 years old. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Santos-Pointer, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

We will be saying goodbye to her on Monday, November 4, 2024. Any funds from this campaign will go to recoup costs associated with her final arrangements.
