Marilyn was a remarkable woman whose life revolved around love, kindness, and family. Her unwavering commitment to her loved ones was the cornerstone of her life-ensuring they were always cared for, secure, and surrounded by warmth. She embodied selflessness, often putting others' happiness before her own, and her kind spirit touched everyone she met, whether in her home or out in the world.
Christmas held a special place in her heart. She transformed her home in to a holiday wonderland, with carefully curated decor and a love for Christmas Hallmark movies that kept the spirit alive year-round. For her, Christmas was about making up for she didn't have growing up, ensuring there were gifts under the tree, no matter how small, and creating cherished memories for her family.
Her dedication extended to her 32 years of service at the post office, where she worked tirelessly to provide financial stability for her family. From night shifts to day shifts, her work ethic was a testament to her love and determination.
Beyond her work and family, she found joy in traveling, planning unforgettable road trips across California and beyond. Her love for Disney was unmatched-she sang along to classics, decorated her Dreamlight Valley island with creative flair, and stayed up-to-date with all the Disney movies. Schi-fi and romance were her other passions, with "Star Wars," Hallmark Christmas movies, and "Star Trek" holding a special place in her heart.
As a mother, she gave her children the experiences she missed as a child. She attended every concert, recital, and birthday party, encouraging her children to explore their talents and passions. Financial literacy in the US was one of her life long teachings that we will continue to use for the rest of our lives. Despite the challenges of arthritis, she faced life with grace and humor, never letting pain diminish her joy.
She was open-minded, progressive, and always wished the best for everyone. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience, inspiring all who knew her to lead lives full of compassion and laughter.
