Honoring Mark Perkins: Help with Funeral Costs

PERKINS – Mark Charles Perkins, 76 of Rochester, NY, died Saturday (September 28, 2024) peacefully at home with family after over a year’s long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mark’s birthplace was Warsaw, NY, and he graduated from Letchworth High School in 1966. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1966-1970, and was a combat Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for 40+ years as a skilled mason and craftsman, and retired as lead estimator for LeChase Construction in 2013.

He is survived by his six children, Brandon Perkins and Lynette Myers both of Warsaw, Aaron Perkins, Allyson Perkins, Alexander Perkins of Rochester and Audrey Perkins of Seattle, WA; three brothers Daniel Perkins (Warsaw), Philip Perkins (Raleigh, NC), Steven Perkins (Warsaw), and sister Deborah Runke (Seattle, WA). Also surviving are five grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present for calling hours on Thursday, October 3rd from 2-4 pm followed by a short service at Miller Funeral Home located at 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623.

Friends and family may donate monetary contributions to assist family in financial assistance for the services.

Mark will be remembered as a reliable, steadfast, generous father, neighbor, and friend. He enjoyed working on home projects, cooking, gardening, hunting, and relaxing watching the Buffalo Bills. He leaves behind his legacy that was built with values of hard work, compassion, and an openness to helping others.
