It is with heavy hearts that we let all those who knew Mark that he died unexpectedly. Mark touched so many lives. Christian and Allison Schiff are left in charge of planning and paying for Mark’s final expenses and we find ourselves requesting your help so that this family doesn’t have to shoulder these unexpected costs alone.

I have been so blown away by the generosity of everyone who I walk through life with no matter how we know each other, and I know many of us have a common connection to Mark. Whether you worked with him or were lucky to have him as an EMS instructor, Mark was so generous to others, now it’s our turn to return the favor. Thank you in advance.

Christian sent me the obituary he has written so I can share that with you, along with celebration of life details.

His service extended to leadership roles as well, having served as past president of the Iowa EMS Association.
