Honoring Marshall: A Gentle Soul Taken

My name is Kelly Harding, and Marshall VanOven was my sister Jennifer Newton’s boyfriend for 14 years. Marshall has a son, Zachary, a daughter, Jessika, and grandchildren whom he loved with all of his heart.

Tragically, Marshall left to go out and get his rent money on Monday, 2/3/2025, and never returned home. On Wednesday, 2/5/2025, the family received the call no family should ever have to receive: the police had found Marshall. On 2/6/2025, the autopsy report was released, and Marshall was murdered!!!

Please help me help this family bury this man who was a kind, gentle soul! He deserves better than this. He has no insurance and was on SSD. Marshall didn’t deserve what happened to him!
