Honoring Matthew: Advocate for Safe Riding

Donation protected
Hello I am Lauren Arevalo, the sister of Matthew Arevalo. On May 25th my brother was taken to heaven in a motorcycle accident at the young age of 22 years old. He loved to be on bikes, even at an early age. Starting at just 2 years old he wanted to ride a bike. He rode bikes for 20 years of his life. Being on his bike brought him so much of his happiness. Every time he left the house on his bike he would remind us how much he loved us, by saying “I love you and I’ll be back later”. He never once left the house mad or upset when he was leaving on his bike. He always said he would come home to us after, and unfortunately this past weekend he rode his last ride. He was always doing what he could to protect the others he was riding with no matter what.
In the accident he was side swiped by an unknown white vehicle who left the scene after hitting him. Matthew wasn’t speeding, it wasn’t the speed that took him from us, it was someones carelessness. My brother passed away at the scene and they weren’t able to save him. He wasn’t even home with us, he was out of town in a state he always wanted to go to ride his bike. He left this earth the happiest he had ever been, doing what he loved most.
With this money we would like to raise awareness for motorcyclists, because at the end of the day all those riders just want to go home to their friends, and their family. We want to make sure we use his name to bring safety to others, because he always protected who he was with. This loss has taken a major toll on all of our family, and everyone he was able to touch in his short time on earth. Any help is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in continuing his legacy.

Ride safe, watch out for motorcycles, they all have a family to go home to.

We are still looking for a date to host a ceremony for him at home and will keep everyone updated as soon as we know.
