Honoring Mia Sanchez Castro's Memory

Hello everyone. My name is Brenda Sanchez, Mia Sanchez Castro's oldest sister. It is with a heavy heart to announce that Mia has passed away on Tuesday morning of February 11, 2025 after health complications arose. She was 16 years old and was in her sophomore year at Poway High School.

Mia touched the hearts of many people around her. Compassionate, dedicated, studious, kind, friendly, and caring are just some of the many words her family and those around her described her as. She was a great friend, an awesome sister, a beautiful daughter to my parents, a determined student and overall a dedicated person that served her community.

This GoFundMe will serve as a way to help pay for her funeral expenses.

While Mia may no longer be here with us anymore, her impact within her community and beyond is invaluable. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten.

Hola a todos. Mi nombre es Brenda Sanchez, la hermana mayor de Mia Sanchez Castro. Es con mucha tristeza anunciar que Mia ha fallecido la mañana del Martes, Febrero 11, 2025 despues de complicaciones de salud. Ella tenia 16 años atendiendo Poway High en el decimo año.

Mia toco lo corazones de mucha gente alrededor de ella. Compasiva, dedicada, estudiosa, amistosa, amable, y cariñosa son nomas unas de las palabras que su familia y la gente alrededor de ella la describian como. Ella era una buena amiga, una maravillosa hermana, una hermosa hija a mis padres, un estudiante determinada y mas que nada, una persona dedicada a dar servicio a su communidad.

Este GoFundMe va a servir como una manera de ayudar a pagar los gastos funerarios.

A pesar que Mia ya no este aqui con nosotros, su impacto en la communidad y mas aya es inestimable. Vamos a extrañarla mucho, pero nunca sera olvidada.
