Honoring Momma Veronica: Supporting Transitional Costs

My name is Chioma. I have organized this fundraiser on behalf of Adesuwa Usuanlele and her dear departed mother Veronica Brock. I have known Adesuwa and Veronica for over 17 years. Adesuwa and I grew up together and Momma Veronica was a big piece of the village that raised me.

Early in the morning on August 24, 2024 Momma Veronica passed away after a long battle with Systemic Sclerosis. Though it provides some comfort that she is now at peace, nothing ever prepares you to say goodbye to your Mom.

A Celebration of Life to honor Momma Veronica will tentatively take place on Sunday September 8th. This fundraiser is to help cover costs of the memorial celebration (venue rental, food equipment) as well as transitional costs. As if this wasn’t already hard enough to be navigating, Adesuwa also has to move out of the apartment that she shared with her mother by October 1, 2024.

Adesuwa’s capacity is maxed out as her plate is very full right now. Anything you can give will be a tremendous support at this very very difficult time. Even sharing this fundraiser is a huge help.
