Honoring Monet Newton's Legacy

In Loving Memory of Monet Newton.

As a family friend of the Newton family, I am writing on their behalf during a challenging time. At a time when family and friends should be celebrating a monumental occasion, Monet’s parents are planning her memorial services.

Monet was a beautiful soul known for her infectious smile—a vibrant 24-year-old known for her commitment to education and resilient spirit. While working full-time with the Phoenix Suns, Monet completed two Master's programs within a two-year period and graduated from Grand Canyon University.

On the morning of October 15, 2024, Monet's mother, excitedly flew into Phoenix, Arizona, to join Monet in what should have been her celebratory moment. In addition, the mother and daughter had planned their next few days together which included cooking their favorite foods for each other. However, within a few hours, her mother discovered that Monet was the victim of a murder-suicide.

In this incredibly difficult time, we want to honor Monet's memory and support her family as they navigate their unimaginable loss.
