Honoring Mr. Ming Qiang Guan

Donation protected
Hi there,

My name is Tony Guan. I am Ming Qiang Guan's son. I know it has been super tough as a family (me, my brother, and especially my mom) losing a loved one, and especially for someone that had a short amount of time to live because of his stage 4 cancer (esophageal, bone, and lung cancer). My dad was first diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer back in May. He undergo chemotherapy for 6 months. He was about to go into his next set of therapy, but his health started to decline in the next month. Seeing him in pain for the last month has been the hardest for me and my family. I know a lot of you had messaged me through text, Instagram, or other sort of communication that y'all want to help out. I am just going to throw this out there, and let you decide what you want to do. I honestly don't ask for anything and neither my mom and brother. We just want to honor and respect my dad in remembrance. Anything is appreciated. I love you all (friends, family, people who I don't know on social media), I appreciate all you do and keep killin' it out there. Whatever is donated will 100% go to his funeral fees. As of right now we don't have a set date on his funeral service, but will be done in the next week or so.

If you don't know my dad, here's a brief intro on him. A 63 year old man, hard worker, chef, loving father, and has a lot of hobbies. Who moved from China to the U.S. back in the 80s with his family. They decided to live in Tijuana, and then meet my mom in San Francisco through friends. They got married a few months later that he realized he is in love with her. Both came to San Diego to start a family, and then both me and my brother came along. My dad got his U.S. citizenship a few years ago before the pandemic started, as that his been his long-life time achievement. Throughout his life he has always been the supportive person in the family. Respectable person through his friends and family. Cooking has been a passion for him, and shares his secrets and cooking with everyone. He is never selfish at all as he cares for everyone in the world. There's more that he has done, but I don't want to bore you all out.

Otherwise, my family and I appreciates every one of you. All you guys will have a special place in my heart and including my mom and my brother.

-Tony Guan
Much Love.
