Honoring Ms. Roz Goodman

On February 10th, 2020, the Allderdice community lost a bright light.

 

Our own Ms. Roz Goodman passed away from liver cancer, just a few months after being diagnosed in December of 2019. Ms. Goodman was many things: a geometry and algebra teacher, a softball coach, a mother, a friend, and a true Dragon at heart. She taught in the PPS district for 12 years and was the girls softball coach for 3. She was so incredibly dedicated to the Dice Community, even coming into school to work between doctors appointments when she was first diagnosed.

 

COVID-19 washed away all chances we had to honor her passing right after it happened, so two years later, we are giving her the memorial she deserves.

 

We are working to raise money to purchase a plaque to hang in the main hallway of Allderdice, honoring Ms Goodman’s legacy. Any extra money we raise that doesn’t go towards the plaque will be collected into a scholarship award fund to award senior students who connect with Ms. Goodman's values.

 

It is our goal to provide Ms Goodman with the memorial she deserves and make sure that her light is still given a place to shine within the school. Please consider donating to help this be achieved. 100% of donations received will go towards purchasing the plaque and funding the scholarship.
