Honoring My Sister's Legacy: Continuing Her Mission of Care
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time. As her baby sister, I can say, our hearts are heavy after her sudden passing, but we find comfort in the love and support surrounding our family. She was a selfless soul who always put others first, and now, we are committed to continuing the work she cared so deeply about. Her sudden passing has left us all devastated.
We are heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved sister. On October 8th Shelia was believed to be struck by a car on 561 and somehow came to rest beneath the I-95 highway bridge on the shoulder. Her story even aired on Greenville local news, capturing the unimaginable story event of that day. This story is still unfolding.
Despite this tragedy, her giving spirit shines through. As an organ donor, she continued to give life even in her passing, donating her heart, left kidney, and cornea to specific and fortunate donors in need. She truly is a gift that keeps on giving.
She and I had been working on projects to help provide care and viable housing for our Mom, brother, and her nephew—projects she was deeply passionate about, but did not get to complete. We are asking for your support to help carry forward her legacy of love and generosity.
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to our family.
