Honoring Officer Anthony Ward: Support for Alicia

Donation protected
In loving memory of Baltimore Police SWAT Officer Anthony Ward. Helping raise money and support for
his widow, Alicia Garcia Ward.
Anthony, aged 36, tragically passed away on April 20 th 2024, due to injuries sustained in a car accident.
Anthony was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend to everyone who met him. As
a 12 year member of the Baltimore Police Department and SWAT team he positively impacted his
community and made a difference in many lives.
He was one-of-a-kind, remaining in constant motion…always keeping busy bettering himself, learning a
new skill, researching a new interest, or helping those he loved in his life. He was a constant collector.
Whether it be bourbon, WW2 posters (being very proud of his Polish heritage), vintage clothing or
antique signs, he immersed himself in whatever activity he took on. He saw beauty in things that most
would look past. Rusted out Indian Motorcycles, old neon signs, antique furniture…he would have been
just as comfortable growing up in the 1940’s, as evidenced by his always present handlebar mustache.
Anthony had many loves in his love. A lifelong fan of his beloved Cincinnati Bengals, he loved going to
games with friends and family, eventually becoming a season ticket holder even though he lived 8 hours
away. He loved Dave Matthews Band (deep tracks only) going to countless shows over the years. He
loved yearly family trips to Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan, a location frozen in time. He loved
golf and felt right at home walking historic linkslands in Scotland. He loved traveling to new and unique
locations with his greatest love of all, his wife Alicia. They were most happy just being together and
experiencing new places and new people.
Always quick with a joke or singing Creed to a crowded room of SWAT officers, Anthony brought a smile
to the face of all of those that knew or met him. He lived more life in his 36 years on this earth than
most will over the course of their entire lifetime.
As Anthony’s friends and family, we are rallying together to provide him with a fitting memorial service
matching the beautiful soul that he was. Your support will honor Anthony’s memory and support Alicia
in countless ways. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
