Honoring Pamela's Legacy with Love and Support

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, I share that my beloved mother, Pamela Marshelle Fitzgerald, gained her heavenly wings in the early morning hours of Friday, October 4th, after a courageous and hard-fought battle against colon cancer. Her strength, grace, and resilience throughout her journey were awe-inspiring. While we hoped for more time, we find comfort knowing she’s at peace, free from pain, and reunited with loved ones who went before her.

Pamela was a proud Army Mom who took immense pride in seeing me wear the uniform. Her unwavering support and belief in service to others were values that guided her life and instilled in me the courage to serve. She was our family’s anchor, always there with a warm smile and an encouraging word. Her love and light touched so many lives, and it’s difficult to imagine a world without her in it.

Throughout her long and exhausting struggle with this relentless disease, many things fell to the wayside, including her insurance premiums. This has unfortunately left us in a challenging situation, with me bearing the responsibility of covering all funeral and associated expenses out of pocket.

I humbly ask for your support to help honor my mother’s memory and lay her to rest as she deserves. The funds raised will go towards her funeral services and transportation from Georgia to her home state of Tennessee. Per her wishes, Pamela will be laid to rest beside her mother and father at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN, a place that always held a special place in her heart.

The funeral service will be conducted by V.K. Ryan and Sons Funeral Home in Columbia. We are doing everything possible to give her a proper farewell, one fitting of the love and sacrifice she gave to her family, friends, and country. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this campaign, would mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Pamela’s beautiful life and allowing her to rest in peace surrounded by the family she so deeply cherished.

With gratitude and love,

James Fitzgerald
Proud Son of an Army Mom
