We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Nanay on March 2, 2025. Perla was the heart of our family, the string that connected generations, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Born in the Philippines on July 18, 1947, she lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering love. From her early days in Taysan, Batangas, to her long and happy life in Bremerton, Washington, she touched the lives of everyone she met.
Perla's journey took her across the globe, and she embraced every new experience with open arms. She and her husband, Bonifacio, began their life together in the United States, where she became a proud American citizen. For 42 years, Bremerton was her home, a place where she nurtured her family and built lasting friendships. As a dedicated preschool teacher at Jackson Park Child Development Center, she shaped the lives of countless children, leaving a lasting impact on her community.
In her retirement, Perla found immense joy in spending time with her five grandchildren, tending to her garden, and sharing her delicious cooking. She was a passionate Seahawks and pro wrestling fan, and she loved watching action movies and true crime shows. Her kindness extended to all creatures, especially the squirrels she lovingly fed on her deck. Perla possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people, remembering their names and stories, and her warm smile and infectious laughter brightened every room she entered.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover the unexpected funeral and memorial expenses, ensuring we can honor Perla's life and legacy in a way that truly reflects the love she shared with us all. Your generous contributions will alleviate the financial burden during this difficult time, allowing us to focus on celebrating the beautiful memories we hold dear. Thank you for your support and for helping us keep Perla's spirit alive.
