Honoring Ray Crespo: Help His Family

Ronaldo Crespo, Sr. was an incredible husband, father, and Abuelo, and friend to so many. A proud United States Navy veteran, Ray worked hard his entire life, while brandishing a smile that could warm the hardest of hearts. Always ready to greet you with a hug, Ray truly loved life, and the center of his world was his beautiful wife, kids, and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Ray knows nothing was more important to him than family. Having to leave them this past week was no doubt the hardest thing he’s ever done. Parkinson’s stole so much from him, but taking him away from the people he loved so much is by far its cruelest theft.

Although Ray had been dealing with Parkinson’s, his loss so soon was wholly unexpected. How do you ever let go of a man who shared so much with so many? That’s where it’s up to us, those of us who knew and loved Ray, or are lucky enough to know his wife Theresita, his children Ronaldo Jr., Marcus, and Porscha, or any of the rest of the family he loved so much, to help pick up the pieces and give back. Anything we can do to surround the Crespo family with love to help say goodbye to the center of their world will be so appreciated—whether it’s a message, a meal, or donations to help with expenses related to the funeral and Ray’s passing. Let’s surround them with the same love Ray showed all of us. Even if you never met him in person, you know the man he was through the way he loved.
