Honoring Richard Coons: Final Expenses and House Clean Up
RICHARD MARK COONS 1963-2024
My father was an honest working and humble man. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Navy and served on an aircraft carrier during the 1980s as well. He was always able to make ends meet and never complained about anything even when times were rough. Making joy and happiness where others would find sorrow, he truly made the best of what we had no matter what. He was an old soul and he enjoyed the simpler things in life. He always listened to classic rock and country music and had his cup of coffee every morning. Then it was time for a good ol' TV show to watch at night. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, painting, carpentry, home improvement projects and he was always ready for a throwback music session. He also was quite the eccentric character and collected many unique and oddball items througout the years. Endless knickknacks, record players and a plethora of whimsical kitchen items with unique purposes. He loved a unique little find, and I remember the hours and hours spent in thrift stores as a little girl. I always enjoyed it because you never know what you might find. I remember him always motivating me and encouraging me to do better, and be the best version of myself I could be. "Be honest with yourself first" he would always tell me because that is truly the best way to live a happy life. My father had epilepsy, with grand mal seizures that plagued him for as long as I can remember. He had periods of time where it was better managed, but there wasn't any medication that seemed to work well enough for the type of epilepsy he had. Towards the later years of his life he was having more and more seizures, and in some instances would break bones. This is unfortunately is what finally took his life. Although it is a hard thing to deal with I am also thankful that he is not suffering from that type of chronic pain any longer. I am making this gofundme to get help with his death expenses and the cleanup of the house. Please donate if it's on your heart to help me get these things arranged for the final chapter in his life.
