Honoring Rosendo Romero: A Memorial Celebration

My name is Mariah Holmes Leyba, and I recently lost my fiancé. He got shot and killed on November 11th, 2024, and he died in my arms. I loved him so much. I am so lost without him. We have one son together; his name is Isaac. We were together for a total of 7 years and were about to get married. We really loved each other with all our hearts. We were together day in and day out since the day we met. All we had was each other through ups and downs. His love for me and my son is so real. I know I'll never find that again.

I just felt like the funeral wasn't what he deserved, and it didn't celebrate the life that he had. I didn't honor him in the way I would have wanted to honor him because of the good man that he is and the good man that he was to me and his family. I want to have a gathering and rent out a small hall to honor Rosendo Romero and celebrate and honor him as a man, our loved one, a father, a brother, a son, a son-in-law, a friend, and most of all, my soulmate. I want to throw a big celebration in his memory and give him the flowers that he deserves. I also want to make a memorial for him where he died, light candles for him, and make sure to invite everyone that loved him and wanted to say goodbye to him!
