With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sam on Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Sam dedicated nearly 35 years of service to LA County Public Works, spending 31 of those years in Waterworks, working tirelessly to provide for his family. His sudden illness forced him into early retirement, and without life insurance, his family now faces unexpected financial challenges during this difficult time.
Sam was a dedicated family man who treasured his wife, Tracy, and their two sons and two daughters. He took immense pride in being a grandfather and adored his four beautiful granddaughters. A lifelong Dodgers fan, he cherished every moment with his family and always put them first. Now, he is reunited in Heaven with his beloved daughter, Catalina, and his brother, Louie.
We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden on Sam’s family and to give him the celebration of life he deserves. Any contribution—whether through donations, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping the family in your prayers—is deeply appreciated.
The date for Sam’s celebration of life will be shared once finalized. Thank you for your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time.
