Honoring the legacy of Sarah J. Michel, with a scholarship fund!
Sarah J. Michel (1973-2024) was a caring, affectionate, loving, and dedicated hardworking women. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, by her mother Roseline Louis.
Sarah J. Michel relocated to Hempstead, Long Island to begin her educational endeavors. She attended and graduated from Goodrich Uniondale high School and competed in track & field, shock put, badminton and tennis.
Sarah was granted a full scholarship to Hostra University where she wa past of the inroads program. During the juncture between her sophomore and junior year, Sarah attending a exchange program in Japan, granting her the ability to learn the Japanese language. Upon completion of her cources at Hofstra University, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in education and pre Law. Then earned a master’s degree in education at Hofstra, became a member of the illustrious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and was dedicated to community service.
Upon completion of her bachelors and masters degrees, Sarah devoted her career to education. She became a New York City Public school teacher at Midwood High School teaching school age children mathematics.
Sarah J. michel, was very considerate to helping community, as she spent her time and energy planning a Thanksgiving dinner with the Church of God of Salvation in Brooklyn to feed the needy before her passing.
Sarah leaves behind her mother Roseline, and three siblings, hard ch: Margaret, Buckley and Virtryece Michel.
