Retired Sergeant Jim Armstrong passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 5, 2018, in Eureka, CA.
Jim was a Eureka Native through and through, born and raised in Humboldt County. He served faithfully with the Eureka Police Department for 29 years (from 1981-2011), as a Temp Police Officer for an additional 4 years, and a part-time deputy with the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department until the time of his passing.
He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends, and the law enforcement community at large. Jim's heart for his community was large and his love for his daughters immeasurable.
All funds raised for Sergeant Jim Armstrong will go directly to his two daughters, Tess Faust and Sara Salmon, in order to help them fund and organize a wonderful memorial service, where his life will be honored and celebrated in a way Jim would have appreciated.
Any additional funds not used for the memorial will aid in medical and legal fees accrued.
