Honoring Specialist Jacob H. Starr's Legacy

August 8, 2024 we lost someone that the world wasn't ready to have leave this earth. We lost someone that had so much love and joy for everyone that he met. Someone that was brave enough to help defend this country and risk his life to help others. That person is Specialist Jacob H. Starr. No matter how bad of a day he was having, he made sure everyone else was happy. No matter what hobby you had, book you were reading or game you were playing, he would cheer you on and encourage you to be the best you could be at it. He was an amazing person and helped so many people find joy in no matter what they were doing. He will be very missed by his family and friends. We will not be doing a traditional funeral for Jacob. It will be a natural funeral so he can grow with the earth and remain in our hearts. We will be planting a tree on his burial site so people have a place to visit and talk to him again. We will be giving details later when we figure them out. Please, don't donate flowers but donate towards his funeral costs. Any money left over will be going to the Wounded Warrior Project to help other veterans like Jacob with depression. We would love to hear any funny or heartfelt stories you have of him so we could post them at his funeral. We truly are sad to see such an amazing person leave this earth but he will be forever in our hearts.
