Honoring Stephanie Pham's Legacy
Donation protected
On the way home from a Christmas Eve party, my family was hit by a drunk driver. My parents and I suffered minor injuries, but Stephy suffered severe injuries, including a severe brain injury, and despite receiving the absolute best medical care from a phenomenal team of doctors, she was declared brain dead on New Year's Eve.
Stephy was the most caring, loving, and selfless person I've ever known. She would always put the needs of others before her own and would never hesitate to drop everything to help someone else. It's no surprise that Stephy dedicated her life to saving others - she was going to be a doctor and about to graduate from UCLA medical school in May.
I'm proud to say that legacy lives on even after her death. Stephy is an organ donor and her love and kindness will live on through the lives of the organ recipients she saves.
Those of you that knew my sister well knew that her plan was to support our parents after she became a doctor. As refugees from Vietnam they came to this country with nothing, and have worked hard every day for decades so that Stephy and I could have better lives. This gofundme will be used to help cover the costs of any medical, funeral, and legal expenses as well as any lost income for our parents while they are grieving.
Nothing will be able to bring Stephy back, but knowing our parents are well taken care of would be her last wish.
I invite you to donate to this gofundme or send love to my parents in any way. Thank you - we are deeply moved and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from each of you through this difficult time, it has made all the difference. May Stephy's love, kindness, and compassion live on forever through each of us.
With all my love,
Annie
P.S. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, thoughts, prayers, or messages of love, or anything else.
