Honoring Tess David - Wake and Funeral Services
Donation protected
On Thanksgiving night, Tess gave her final breath of life from the battle with cancer. Eight years ago, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer with only one kidney at birth. Surviving two brain surgeries, multiple hospital stays and years of treatments, Tess proved to be a living miracle everyday.
It was the medicine of love and laughter which prolonged her life.
Throughout her earlier years, Tess was the social butterfly and “mother hen” towards everyone - from family & friends to even her co-workers & kids’ friends. Her hospitality and cooking were as memorable as her infectious laugh.
In her later years, she would joke with all of the nurses while playing matchmaker for her kids with hospital staff. Patients in the waiting room can hear her and the nurses cracking up while drawing her blood. She even danced to disco songs during PT & rehab after her brain surgeries. Cancer did not stop her from living and experiencing joy!
We will be celebrating her life as “a village” this week by sharing memories and connecting through love & laughter - just as she would want. We will also be honoring her wishes of a wake, funeral and burial later this week as well. Our family sincerely appreciates your contribution to help honor her life and her wishes.
Tess was the definition of resilience while being the liveliest spirit you’ve ever met. We will always carry her love and spirit in our hearts.
From her husband-Fernando, her 3 kids-Iris, Loren & Justin, and her sister-Gail, we all extend our deepest gratitude for your care and support through this difficult time.
