Honoring the Departed Firefighter

We are the Last Alarm Foundation of North Carolina (LAFNC) - a public nonprofit charity established solely for the purpose of building and maintaining a “Last Alarm Apparatus” to be used to transport departed firefighters to their final places of rest - their “Last Alarm”. To observe this fire service time honored tradition, LAFNC will convert, restore, and sustain an antique fire truck into a funeral coach (a.k.a.: A Fire-Engine Funeral Hearse for Firefighters) to transport deceased firefighters and first responders to their final resting place.

Modern fire apparatus are not built to transport caskets. In fact, it is very difficult, and somewhat dangerous to do so. The vehicle we have chosen is specifically designed to transport the caskets of our fallen comrades with the Respect, Gratitude, and Reverence so faithfully deserved.

100% of all donations are used to complete this project. We have no employees. We pay no salaries. We are a 100% non-profit organization.
