Honoring the life and legacy of Dimas Rodriguez

Donation protected
Family and friends, We are writing today to inform you of the passing of Dimas A. Rodriguez on April 15, 2023 as a result of a car accident. Prior to the accident, Dimas was serving on active duty as an E-3 in the United States Coast Guard. He was stationed on the beautiful island of Oahu, where he lived a life full of adventure with his wife, April, and his many friends. Dimas’ sudden and unexpected death has left his wife, April, with a very big hole in her heart to fill. Dimas was a consummate professional, on and off duty. At work he was a source of inspiration to peers through the example he set with how to maintain a superior level of fitness and still get the day-to-day work tasks completed. On his off-time, Dimas’ Christian values and positive attitude towards life had impacts  not only in his local community where he volunteered, but also anywhere that people got the chance to meet and spend time with him. April’s loss is not easily put into words and is still very new for her. During their almost 6 years of marriage, Dimas and April made a bond that will forever be a part of her story. She is starting to have to take on daily living tasks/responsibilities alone and without her partner, Dimas, which brings on many new challenges for her. We ask all family, friends and shipmates to keep April and Dimus’ family in your prayers during these trying times. Your generosity is much appreciated and will help April carry on with her life, and to overcome the financial struggles she is sure to come upon as she copes with the loss of her spouse and the process of laying her soulmate to rest.
