Honoring the Life and Legacy of Michael Lister

We are heartbroken as we share the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved father, Michael Lister, who leaves behind six children and their newly started families at the age of 66. Our family has suffered an immeasurable loss, as our father was the foundation of our family. He was everything to each of us—our rock, provider, and the source of unconditional love and support. Each one of us had a unique bond with him. We all loved him so very much and already completely lost without him. His sudden departure has left a void that words and emotions cannot fully express. Navigating a life without a very involved and dedicated father will be extremely difficult.

If you knew our dad, you knew the kind of man he was. He was generous and always helped anyone in need, whether through financial support or acts of kindness. He never hesitated to offer a helping hand. He worked tirelessly throughout his life and was a significant influence in the family, community, and various schools he was actively involved.

We are doing our best to honor him in the way he deserves—with dignity, respect, and remembrance, as saying goodbye will be extremely difficult for all of us. We want to give him a beautiful, meaningful farewell and celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to everyone around him. His passing has not only left us with unimaginable devastation but also an unexpected financial burden we were not prepared for. Initially, we were hesitant to ask for help, as it is difficult to do so. However, in this time of overwhelming grief, we are humbly reaching out to our family, friends, and community for support to alleviate some of the financial strain we now face. While we are doing our best to cope with this loss and lean on each other, we are also confronted with the heavy burden of funeral expenses that continue to mount.
