Honoring the Life and Memory of Charles Jones

May 26, 2023, at approximately 9:53pm officers responded to the 1200 block of E. 83rd St. on a shooting call. Upon arrival a victim was located and transported to the hospital. Several hours later the victim was pronounced deceased. This victims name is Charles Jones.

Charles was 18 years young when he was taken from his family and friends far too soon due to gun violence. Charles was enrolled at Center High School and had big plans to earn his Diploma and begin his journey into adulthood. Charles is survived by his two children, mother, Grandmother, siblings and various family members who are all fighting through what is undoubtedly the hardest times of their lives. As parents of young children/adults you don't plan for times like these, and there is an overwhelming amount of cost associated with burial and services for a loved one. With this fundraiser we hope to raise enough money to cover the costs of those service arrangements, a casket, and a plot for Charles to rest. Any funds above those costs will go to his children, as they still have much to encounter and endure. May it all be of help… Any donation is welcomed and appreciated.
