Honoring the Life and Memory of Christian Myers

My name is Morgan Shiveley and I am the cousin of Christian Myers. We lost Christian tragically on July 26, 2023, and he will be greatly missed. Those who he was close to feel honored to call him a friend, son, and brother.

If you knew him, you loved him. It didn't matter if you met him once for 30 seconds, or if you knew him for 30 years - he was able to make a deep impact on everyone that he interacted with. Christian leaves behind a legacy of love and living life to the fullest. Christian believed, “There is only one way to live: to put faith over fear; to believe in who you are and what you do. And if you don’t - change it.” He was strong in his convictions, lived without judgment, and always pursued what he believed to be right and true in his heart. This often meant giving the shirt off his back to those in need and being inclusive of everyone he met.

Christian traveled the world and never met a stranger. He found a way to impact every single person he met, whether that be at a gas station, a Harley store, a bar, or somewhere else along the road. His infectious laugh and joy will be greatly missed.

In loving honor and memory of Christian, we are raising money for Jimmy's Ride, a local organization near and dear to Christian's heart. After his brother John-Mark (Jimmy) Myers passed away tragically in 2015, Jimmy's Ride was founded to raise money for grieving families. This year, the proceeds collected through Jimmy's Ride will benefit Christian's wife, Mary, and her children: Audrey, Harrison, Olivia, Carlee, and Lynny.

Christian Myers' visitation will be held on August 3 at the Martinsville Church of Christ in Martinsville, Ohio from 11am-1pm. As we celebrate and grieve Christian's life, we find peace and comfort knowing he is reunited with his brother in their inseparable bond.
