Honoring the Life and Memory of Leah Howe
Donation protected
Most of you know me, I'm Renee and on July 30, 2023, this world lost a beautiful soul when my sister, Leah (DeLorey) Howe's five year ferocious battle with cancer ended. She was an unbelievable woman, a true cancer warrior who inspired so many with her very public battle with breast cancer. Those who knew Leah well, know that she always brought her feisty attitude with her everywhere she went but with that she also brought a heart of gold and an amazing smile that lit up the room when she entered. Leah devoted her life to the protection and care of animals and despite the enormous amount of friends she had, she loved her animal friends just as much (if not more). Even when Leah was sick and only earning disability, she continued to foster puppies and spend hundreds of dollars out of her own pocket on toys, treats and other necessities the puppies needed. Her heart was always open.
Unfortunately, after Leah became sick, she lost her job and with it her life insurance. Despite trying to get things in order before it was too late, Leah's passing came very quick and unexpected and no one was prepared for the day when it came physically, mentally or financially. After speaking with the mortuary and making Leah's final arrangements, we are struggling to come up with the high costs of the final services. We need to raise the funds by August 13th in order to move forward with her scheduled cremation and allow her to be at peace.
It is at this time that I reach out to anyone who may be able to help so that we can give Leah the final farewell that she deserves.
We will be having a Celebration of Life on both the West Coast and East Coast in about a month. Details to follow on Facebook.
Thank you so much.
Love and peace to all.
