Honoring the Life of Kali Lynch

My name is Vicky Addie and Kali Lynch is my cousin who was brutally and horrifically murdered in Shreveport, Louisiana in the early hours on Sunday, November 17th by her abusive boyfriend, Lonnie Tranquille, who backed her into a corner in their shared apartment and shot her three times, killing her. Kali was only 29 years old.

Kali was the light in many people's lives. She was funny, silly, sweet, supportive, and an awesome and special friend to many. She was a huge supporter of the music scene in Shreveport/Bossier, loved skateboarding, was a talented artist, and also played in a band.

Kali's mother, Elaine Lynch, was my cousin and she passed away in 2013 when Kali was only 17 years old. Elaine was extremely proud of Kali and worked hard to give her a good life. Everyone in our family loved Kali with all our hearts and her loss is tremendous. Her Facebook page is filled with tributes and remembrances from those who knew her, which shows just how important she was to so many people.

The cost of the funeral and service, which is being held at Auld's in Shreveport from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday, 11/23, is being already being covered, by the boss of Jennifer Lang, who is the girlfriend of Kali's father Stacee Roberts. This GoFundMe is being set up so funds can be given to Jeannie Roberson, Kali's aunt and Elaine's sister, so she can help pay any of Kali's outstanding bills and any other costs that may not be covered.

It is also our hope that any remaining funds may be used to help set up a permanent memorial or small mural within the Shreveport area dedicated to her influence on the music scene because it was so important to Kali.

We want to show how vibrant and wonderful Kali was. She left a mark on everyone that left you a better person. She was and always will be loved by all.
