Honoring the Life of Landis Colorado Reid

In the early hours of April 11, 2023 Landis Colorado Reid lost his life to gun violence in Chicago, IL. Landis was supposed to start a new job later that day. He was so excited to turn his life around and be a better man, uncle, brother, and son. Unfortunately, that opportunity would be taken from him when someone he trusted took his life. Landis was born tough to two parents who were not ready and able to care for him. Landis and his siblings moved around a lot due to unstable living conditions. Though the children were eventually adopted by family and given a loving home, Landis dealt with feelings of abandonment and identity issues all of his life. Landis graduated from high school and enrolled in college where he pursued his interests in football and mechanics but staying focused on the positive was hard. Landis had a relationship with God. He went to church and was taught the power of prayer. For this is the comfort we hold fast to KNOWING that we will meet with Landis again in Heaven. The family is covering the funeral and burial expenses out of pocket. So many of our friends and extended family have asked how you can help and/or extend yourself to assist our family.
