Honoring the Life of Scott Palm: Help Us Lay Him to Rest

Hello, my name is Amy Fulton, and I am the cousin of David "Scott" Palm, a remarkable man who touched so many lives during his 63 years.

Scott passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2025, due to cardiac arrest. Scott was born healthy and normal on all accounts, but he was placed into an incubator in the hospital, and for reasons unclear, the cord that supplied oxygen to Scott became unplugged for 5 minutes, resulting in his disability. Scott faced incredible challenges throughout his life, but lived a life full of love, resilience, and advocacy. He never let his disabilities define him. Instead, he used them to inspire and uplift others.

Scott was an award-winning advocate for the disabled, a Star Trek enthusiast, and a passionate animal lover. His work as a public speaker and his nonprofit, Palm Tree Enterprises, helped countless individuals. He even co-launched the Pop Hero Coalition alongside Star Trek actress Chase Masterson, championing inclusion and mental health. His life was a testament to the values of hope, perseverance, and compassion.

Now, we are faced with the heartbreaking task of laying Scott to rest. As a ward of the state of Washington for his entire life, Scott had no assets. Despite his lifelong care being provided by the state, they are unwilling to assist with his funeral expenses.

UPDATE: **We have found a more affordable place to have Scott Cremated. We are having him currently transferred from Evergreen Memorial in Everett to Cascade Memorial in Bellevue saving us $1300!

We are raising $4,700 to give Scott the dignity he deserves in death. This includes $1100 for his cremation through Cascade Memorial in Bellevue, Wa and $3,600 to bury his ashes in a plot I own in East Wenatchee, and purchase a headstone where he can be laid to rest near loved ones. I reside in San Antonio, Texas and I am doing what I can from afar with distant relatives to make funeral arrangements for Scott.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to honoring Scott in the way he deserves. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.

Scott’s favorite quote was, “I might do it differently, but I get it done.” Let’s come together to ensure this incredible man is celebrated and remembered for all he gave to the world.

Thank you for your support,
Amy Fulton
