Honoring the Life of Villa Edquiban Armour
On behalf of the Armour and Edquiban families, we are asking for your prayers, love, and support as we navigate through this very difficult time.
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Villa Edquiban Armour on March 27, 2021. As some of you may know, she had been fighting Liver Disease for the last 7 years.
On March 20th she was admitted to the hospital with Shingles. It progressed and caused a bad staphylococcus infection, which eventually caused her body to become septic. Over the course of the seven days, she was intubated when her breathing became too shallow. She ultimately passed from multiple organ failure and a cancerous tumor. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a great friend, and an inspiration to all who met her. She will always be remembered for being able to light up a room with her radiant spirit, her big, beautiful smile, and her infectious laughter. To have known her was to love her and to share a laugh.
Villa was born in the Zambales province of the Philippines. She earned her Bachelors in Nursing there and came to join her family in the United States in the 1970's. She was a loving and caring Registered Nurse for over 40 years and spent a significant amount of time at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina and Miracle Mile Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, where she specialized in Neurological Recovery.
Villa is survived by her husband Thomas, her daughter Naundi, her sons Andrew and David, and her grandson Levi. She was a celebrated part of the Edquiban Family from her New Jersey roots, and will be greatly missed by her brothers Arnulfo, Marcos, Gene, her sisters Merlina, Elizabeth, and Eleanor, and her many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Words from her daughter:
"Because I never thought I would be doing this right now. I thought she'd be at my wedding and there to help me raise my kids some day...The part of me that feels so empty and scared also knows that while she won't be there physically, she'll be there in spirit watching everything. Her body is just a shell, but her spirit lives on. Even in the hospital, in the midst of her complete confusion-- she recognized me and looked at me and said "I love you, my daughter." She wanted me to know that I was loved. My guardian angel. She will always be in my heart.
She left her footprints in the sand through me-- her babygirl, her princess, and only daughter. She raised me to be so strong and always told me that God would provide. While I don't understand right now, I do know that He will. I know that he needed her for something more.
I'm going to look forward and make sure I take care of our guys for you Mommy. Daddy, Andrew, David, and Levi will be ok.
To have met my mother was to love her. Her kind spirit and sweet loving heart will be truly missed".

Thank you to each and every one of you.
