Honoring the Memory of Brad Hess
Donation protected
I find myself at a loss for words as I write this, but as of May 20th, 2023, my beloved father, Bradley James Hess, passed away, returning home to Jesus. The weight of grief that has enveloped our family is indescribable. My father was the embodiment of kindness and generosity, an individual who exemplified everything good in this world. He not only led by example but also showed us how to live our lives through God, always prioritizing kindness, forgiveness, generosity and compassion. In times of darkness, he would effortlessly lift us up knowing just the right things to do or say to heal our sadness. He was the unwavering rock that held our family together, extending love and kindness even to those who may not have reciprocated it or seemingly deserved it. Our hearts ache deeply at the loss of this impossibly good and extraordinary man. We find solace in knowing he is no longer burdened by suffering or pain and has found healing, eternal peace and joy. He was not only a provider, but also a source of unwavering love, guidance, and strength. He touched the lives of countless people with his kindness, wisdom, and love. His departure has left a void in our lives, one that we struggle to comprehend and navigate, but he left a legacy that everyone who has been touched by his presence will remember. Brad has been battling stage four colon cancer for two years, going through intense chemo, facing horrendous and painful side effects, procedures, and more and never complaining. He was in the hospital only a day after our sister's anniversary of her death, April 27th 2022, and was there until his passing. My dad believed in us getting an education and has always tried to provide for this.
The purpose of creating this GoFundMe campaign is to humbly ask if you would like to contribute to covering the cost of medical bills, education funds for Remi and Kaden, as well as, Chloe and any other unforeseen challenges that may be ahead for our mom. By contributing to this campaign, you would be lifting a tremendous weight off our shoulders and allowing us to focus on healing and moving forward. Your generosity will not only assist us in these practical matters but will also provide immeasurable emotional comfort during this challenging chapter. Your support demonstrates that our father's impact extended beyond our family and into the hearts of others, and for that, we are forever grateful. My goal is to allow me and my family, my mother mostly who is now the sole provider for me, my sister Chloe, my nephew Kaden, and my niece Remi, to take the time we need to heal. My mother and father were the guardians of my sister's children when she passed, and now that responsibility lays solely on my mom. My sister and I want to support her emotionally and financially, but Chloe is in college and I just graduated, so our financial contributions are minimal. My goal is to allow her to take a break from work and everything else to just be with us and allow herself to mourn peacefully and without stress. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we are sorry to each and every one of you that has a hole in your life that was Brad Hess.
