Honoring the Memory of Brendyn Carman

Dear friends, family members and compassionate souls,

Today I come to you in sorrowful need of your support in one of the darkest periods of my life. Early this morning, Brendyn Carman, my son who we loved so deeply was tragically taken from us due to an act of violence; leaving an irreplaceable hole in our lives; losing him so suddenly has shattered our world, leaving us reeling with grief and leaving behind a young son, who will never get the chance to know his father.

At times like these, grieving is only compounded by knowing this is not the first tragedy to strike our family. Almost five years ago, we said our goodbyes to my nephew; three years ago a sudden tragedy claimed my brother. Coping with these multiple losses has been difficult, yet as a family we have always stood united through these difficult times and relied on each other for support and comfort during these trying times.

Planning the funeral arrangements for my dear son, Brendyn, is a heart-wrenching experience that no parent should ever have to endure. The burden of arranging his final farewell has become an overwhelming financial strain for our family, especially considering the untimely nature of his passing and our previous losses. As we navigate through this painful grieving process, we are reaching out to our community and beyond, seeking any form of assistance possible.
