Honoring Thyra Lowe: Support her Family and Legacy

My name is Michael Mannozzi, and I had the honor, the privilege, and the joy of being married to Thyra Lowe for 17 years. She was and remains the single most unique, special, and caring human I have ever met. Thyra lived and loved hard, with passion. She was an extraordinary wife and mother, as well as a sister and a friend to many. Those who knew her, even briefly, will never forget her spirit and her passion. She was an unflinching fighter for the truth, what she saw as right, and for all those she held dear.

Tragically, on July 28 of this year, a great hole was torn into the fabric of our family. Thyra succumbed suddenly to an illness, shortly after our return to Ghana from an overseas trip. She and I dreamt of living in Africa together, worked toward that goal together, and saw it realized together in 2023. She only got one whole year of living out her greatest dream, but she was never happier, and I am so very proud of having been able to support her in achieving it.

This tragedy has had devastating effects on each of us, starting with the kids. Sabina (17) and Luca (14) are strong like their mother, but also in so much pain. I have lost my other half, the one who stood for me, unequivocally, always. The effects are also financial, and this is the reason for my campaign. I aim to honor my commitments to my truly better half by laying her to rest, securing the children's schooling and well being, creating a home for us here, and creating enterprises that change people's lives in the spirit of love and true caring.

I intend to use any funds raised as follows:

1. Defray hospitalization and funeral costs (already incurred).

2. Fund our children's education for the 2024/25 school year.

3. Assist with family living expenses through the first half of 2025.

4. Support current work initiatives so that out financial future is secured.

It is my commitment to you that I will use these funds to secure our short term needs, as well as supporting my ongoing efforts to develop enterprises that will ensure our future. Please help me ensure that Thyra's family, her works, and her legacy can continue to grow into the future.

I see this campaign as creating a memorial fund for my dearest and deepest friend, Thyra Lowe. I know she meant so very much to so many people and always gave of herself to all who needed it. I hope that you might contribute as possible to help me honor her through this campaign.
