Honoring Travis Pelc: Your Support

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our long-time employee, friend and Maintenance Engineer, Travis Pelc. Travis has been with Hillcrest Country Club for almost 17 years and was a deeply valued member of the team. Many of our golfing members probably know Travis best from him cooking burgers out on 12th tee during events. Travis also filled the water jugs each morning and often helped in golf course maintenance when needed. Travis could be seen getting the pool ready each year for the opening or running around the club to fix whatever was needed. Travis passed unexpectedly this past Saturday while at home, and his infectious smile will be greatly missed.

Travis’s Daughter, Destiny Pelc, works for Hillcrest as well and has asked for all those wishing to remember Travis to attend a Celebration of Life this Thursday, August 1st, from 4 pm to 6 pm in the ballroom at Hillcrest. The Club will provide light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar as the family will be having a post-ceremony dinner. To assist the family with expenses, the Club has arranged this Go-fund-me page.
