Honoring Trisha Paddock and what she stood for

Ryan Paddock is running the LA Marathon on behalf of his late wife Trisha, who tragically passed away last year. He is running with his friend Colonel Justin Brown to honor Trisha's memory by raising money for Team AMP, a cause that Trisha cared deeply about.

Trisha was an avid supporter of causes that championed diversity, equity, and inclusion and was passionate about participating in charitable efforts that she believed in. She was known by everyone to be incredibly caring and compassionate and will be remembered for her warm-hearted demeanor and community volunteer work.

On Sunday March 20th, 2022, Trisha Paddock, a volunteer charity runner for AADAP (Asian American Drug Abuse Program) passed away shortly after completing the Charity Challenge Half Marathon in the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon. She was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills by paramedics and passed away later in the evening.

“Trisha Paddock believed in the mission of AADAP and was so excited to be a part of our team. The Charity Challenge team members met together on Sunday morning before the start of the race, and everyone was enthusiastic to be participating in this event. We are all stunned that she is no longer with us. Our hearts go out to her husband and children, who loved her dearly,” said Dean Nakanishi, Chief Executive Officer of AADAP.

Trisha was a loving wife to husband Ryan Paddock, and mother to 3 children (ages 14, 18, 20). In addition, she was deeply cared for by everyone she interacted with in the workplace and elsewhere. AADAP will always consider the Paddock Family as “Ohana” or family and extend our deepest sympathies for this tragic loss.
