It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent LaCorte, age 22.

Vincent was in a catastrophic motorcycle accident that took place on November 19th 2024. The accident caused profound brain injuries. He was gone immediately but his death was legally declared on the afternoon of November 21st 2024.

It was just such a sad and unfortunate series of events.

Vincent got off of work at 5 o’clock on Tuesday, but didn’t wrap up and head home until about 6:14 & He rode directly to Publix to grab dinner.

My mom was talking to him on the phone at about 6:29 for 6 minutes while he was getting home but the call cut off in the elevator and she didn’t want to bother him by calling back, he went upstairs and dropped off the groceries around 6:35. He left EVERYTHING out and ready to start cooking assuming that he’d be back within 10 minutes. Even his frozen dinner was still on the counter.

At some point pretty immediately, he realized that he forgot something, ran downstairs, and decided he’d make the quick 0.8 of a mile trip from his house to the corner store.

He got into an accident about 0.4 miles from the corner store at 6:43pm. The store was within view of the accident scene.

Vincent was heading northbound on the road. The other driver was making a U-turn & said he didn’t see Vinnie coming. We don’t think Vincent even saw it coming as he was hit on the back left of his motorcycle breaking his left leg & a slew of other injuries. The worst injury though— Vincent’s beautiful brain immediately passed away on impact on 11/19/24. The only silver lining is the doctors say he would have felt no pain with how instant it was.

He was put onto life support for everyone to be able to say goodbye. After nearly 48 hours on life support, legal brain death was declared at 1:48pm on 11/21/24

Vincent was the person who would give his shirt off his back to a complete stranger. He is becoming an organ donor at 9am on 11/24/24 and ending his life exactly how he lived it, a selfless, caring, hero. We want all of his organs to be viable but are most deeply praying for a miracle — hoping that his heart can be gifted so that he can continue to spread the love he gave to all of us.
