Honoring Yayha Abdi - Raising Funds to help Cover Costs

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of our young cousin Yayha Abdi, a bright, kind, and thoughtful young man who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Yayha tragically passed away after an unforeseen accident, leaving behind a grieving family, friends, and community who deeply loved him. We are coming together to raise funds to honor his memory by covering funeral expenses and creating a lasting legacy in his name. Once we hit our goal, we will give the funds to his parents.

In addition to supporting his family during this difficult time, we plan to use part of the funds to support meaningful causes that reflect Yayha’s character. A portion will go to building a well for a community in need, offering clean water as a form of sadaqah jariya—ongoing charity that will benefit others in his name. Donations will also be made to charities close to his and his family’s heart, ensuring that his kind and giving spirit continues to bring light to the world.
